Corr undefeated for Joss Tour Win |
The Joss NE 9-Ball Tour resumed
their season over the weekend with a $2000 added event at Raxx
Pool Room & Grill in West Hempstead, NY.
This event came down to tour director Mike Zuglan and WPBA sensation
Karen Corr for the hot-seat. The hot seat went to Corr in a
tight 9-6 match.
On the one loss side, Zuglan faced off against Shin Park for
the right to play in the finals. Shin held an early 5-2 lead
in this match, but Zuglan came back to score a 9-7 win.
The true double elimination finals between Corr and Zuglan started
off close with both players tied at 4-4 before Corr made a run
and got to the hill at 8-4. Next it was Zuglan's turn to make
a run and he ran four straight racks to get even at 8-8. Zuglan
needed one more rack to force a second set in the finals, but
it was not meant to be as he came up dry on the break and was
unable to stop Corr from running out the final rack.
